Getting Started

How do I add my website?

Go to your dashboard, click 'Add Site', paste your URL, and we'll start crawling your content automatically.

How do I install the widget?

After adding your site, copy the embed code from the onboarding wizard or Site Settings, and paste it before the closing </body> tag on your website.

How long does crawling take?

Most sites are fully indexed within 2-5 minutes. Larger sites (500+ pages) may take up to 15 minutes.

Can I exclude certain pages from crawling?

Yes! Go to Site Settings > Crawl Exclusions to add custom URL patterns to exclude. Common patterns like /blog/*, /login, /cart are excluded by default.

AI & Responses

Why is the AI giving wrong answers?

The AI can only answer based on your website content. Make sure your site content is up to date and re-crawl after making changes.

Can I customize the AI's personality?

Yes! Create custom personas in your site's Personas settings. You can define the tone, name, and behavior of your AI assistant.

How do Custom Q&A pairs work?

Custom Q&A pairs take priority over website content. If a visitor's question matches a Q&A pair, the AI will use that answer directly.

What languages are supported?

The AI can respond in any language. It automatically detects the visitor's language and responds accordingly.

Widget Customization

Can I change the widget colors?

Yes! Go to Site > Appearance to customize the primary color, welcome message, bot name, and position.

Can I add a pre-chat form?

Yes! Enable the pre-chat form in Appearance settings to collect visitor name, email, or phone before the conversation starts.

Does the widget work on mobile?

Yes, the widget is fully responsive. On mobile devices, it opens in full-screen mode for the best experience.

Billing & Account

Is there a free plan?

Yes! Every new account starts on the Free plan with 100 AI conversations per month, 1 website, auto site crawling, and basic analytics — free forever. No credit card required.

How do I upgrade or downgrade?

Go to Settings in your dashboard to view plans and manage your subscription.

How do I cancel?

Go to Settings > Manage Subscription. You'll have access until the end of your billing period.

How do I delete my account?

Contact support@sitesupport.ai and we'll delete your account and all data within 48 hours.
